Hematology testing is performed to detect problems with the red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, blood vessels, bone marrow, lymph nodes, spleen, and the proteins involved in bleeding and clotting (hemostasis and thrombosis).

Complete blood counts (CBC) with differentials are performed with the Beckman Coulter DxH series of analyzers using Laser and fluorescent flow cytometry method.
